I haven't told you about my laugh coming back!
It took June and July for me to loosen up after the stress of failing at school (and failing in general), but I've been laughing with my co-workers, with my father on our hikes, with friends and with Legend of the Seeker fans. It started when my very strange front desk co-worker made me laugh with her run-on-sentences way of talking, and mock hyperventilation at little events. It was silly, and my mind was ready to laugh, so I laughed! After that, laughing at other things flowed, and I can feel my serious face give way when something presents itself to be laughed at.
There's also a new-found love in my life: the TV show Legend of the Seeker and it's original books by Terry Goodwind. The Wikipedia article on Goodkind reports that "using the fantasy genre allows him to better tell his stories and better convey the human themes and emotions that he desires to share with the reader," and that "his main goal in writing is to inspire." I'm a fan! Not to mention that the cast of the TV show is amazing eye candy: lovely Bridget Regan as Khalan Amnell, sexy Tabrett Bethell as Cara Mason, and slightly good looking Craig Horner as Richard Cypher. Despite my many incredulous "what!?" moments of watching the series, it is made with love. Sincerity and dedication pushed aside bad acting and plot line. Like most beloved cult TV legends, the series was dropped after it's second season.
Some links for myself, perhaps to raise my humor when it's black.
